Since September of last year, my husband and I were scouting for a new house. According to our realtor, we checked out 49 properties and bid 8 of them. We were outbid by buyers who spent higher amount than we did. It was a sleepless house hunting activity especially when we found the house with all the property features that we want.
It was only this April that we finally bought a house and thanks to our hard working realtor, we moved in to our new home after two weeks. It has an attached garage, has a good size laundry room, a functional kitchen area with dining space and a decent living room considering we are only two in the household.
We have three standard bedrooms and we used one for an office. There are two bathrooms which have an outdated bath tub and bathroom fixtures. Hubby and I are planning to remodel the bathrooms because the lay out is not functional and lack of storage area. The vanity is so tiny and does not hold much of the accessories.
One bathroom has a standing shower which was remodeled few months back and we like it. The bathroom has a pedestal sink which I am not a fan and no storage area. Despite of these imperfections, we are happy with our new home. Our next biggest project is to remodel both bathrooms and make it functional with contemporary designs. We want it sophisticated, using elegant and premium bathroom accessories; just like the brands from Waterworks.
